*At Kincumber Gym all classes are for 1 hour, unless otherwise stated. Please arrive on time for class and bring a work-out towel and water. Remember to sign in for Body Pump, Cycle and TRX classes at reception. Inform instructor if you have any injuries or conditions that may affect your exercise. For hygiene purposes, cotton inner gloves are required for classes that involve boxing (excluding combat). These can be purchased from reception. You are welcome to bring your own boxing gloves, or purchase from reception.
BLITZ – An awesome mix and variety of circuit exercises incuding athletic drills, boxing and overall body strength. Designed to improve stamina, strength and fitness levels. Adjust your workout according to your fitness.
BODY PUMP – A choreographed non-impact work out using adjustable weights that work all you major muscles. Benefits include toning, increased strength and endurance and a great calorie burner.
BOXING FIT – Box your way to better health! Increase your strength and fitness levels and improve hand-eye coordination. Purchase inner gloves at reception, or bring your own.
COMBAT – Great cardio workout, choreographed to music. Uses a combination of different moves from disciplines such as karate, Muay Tai, Tai Chi, Kick Boxing and Tae Kwon Do. If you want high energy, this class is for you!
CORE (30 minutes) – All our movements are powered by our Core. The abs and back work together to support the spine when we sit, stand or bend over. In this class you will perform a variety of different exercises to strengthen your core.
CYCLE (45 minutes) – A hugely effective way to increase your fitness and burn serious calories with no impact. Let the instructor take you on a cycle journey through the use of fitness drills and endurance climbs.
FIT FRIDAY – Meet at Avoca Beach Surf Club car park at 6am. Jog or walk to the end of North Avoca Beach, then as a group complete different body weight exercises and head back to the surf club for a stretch. $2 donation to charity to be given to instructor. Stay afterwards for an optional swim / coffee.
H.I.I.T (30 minutes) – High Intensity Interval Training. A fast paced high intensity 30 minute work-out. Incorporate resistance exercises, and fast past cardio movement to maximise effort with little rest.
PILATES – Precise body conditioning exercises, which focuses on strengthening and balancing the muscles of the body, particular the abdominals and the back. Creates better posture and flexibility.
SENIORS- Classes vary from strength on Monday to cardio on Wednesday and Friday, but the fun stays the same.
STEP (30 minutes) – Use an elevated platform (step) combined with choreographed movements to give you the ultimate workout for your lower body (butt and legs). Intensity levels can be adapted to fit the skill level of participant.
TRX (30 minutes ) – Suspension Training – Use gravity and your own body weight to exercise. You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise – because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.
YOGA – Integrate the physical and psychological. Develop breath awareness, relaxation and flexibility for strength, health and vitality. Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic flowing style, which includes Vinyasa based asana practice with static asanas.
